Dementia not only brings about challenges for affected individuals but also for their families.
This program provides threefold benefits to the caregiver- increasing awareness about dementia, learning how to manage challenging behaviours and dementia care training by our specialists. The caregiver is also trained on various aspects of cognitive stimulation to help their loved ones remain mentally active.
Persons with dementia may exhibit challenging behaviours like agitation, wandering, anger outbursts, hallucinations, etc., which are often challenging to manage. With time, they may also face difficulties in doing activities of daily living such as eating, bathing, toileting, and transferring from one place to another.
We offer a structured approach for counselling in which we discuss different challenging behaviours and ways to manage them. Through online sessions, family caregivers are equipped to accept and navigate the changes that follow the dementia diagnosis.
